Cecilia De Bucourt's Journey

Cecilia De Bucourt started her modeling career at the age of 14. She won the modeling contest for FORD Agency in her native country and she became the Argentinian representative in the international contest SUPERMODEL OF THE WORLD which took place in U.S.  Soon after, just turned 15, she was offered a modeling contract to work for FORD models in Tokyo, Japan.

Cecilia traveled the world.  At the age of 16, she modeled in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) for the period of one year. Moved and
worked in Milan, Italy where she became the image for the Ad. Campaign for Giorgio Armani. She did runway shows for designers such as Valentino, Alberta Ferreti, Byblos, Blumarine, etc.
Director Ottavio Fabbri offered Cecilia a part in an Italian movie and she did her debut together with actors Omar Shariff and Lea Massari in the movie called "Viaggio díamore."

After turning 18, Cecilia decided to move to Paris and worked there for 5 years in Karinís model agency. Here, she worked for the most prestigious fashion magazines like Elle, Vogue, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar and also did TV. Commercials for brands like Renault, Wella, Loreal, ALLURE (perfume by Chanel).

Cecilia returned to Argentina after her 23rd birthday and started acting school.  She took a little break from modeling but was chosen to have her own fashion segment in a daily TV show. Cecilia's professional experience at such an early age, charisma, natural beauty, fluency in four languages, brain, and talent was a perfect combination of a TV star. Her mother, who was also a former model and a famous TV personality in Argentina, decided to incorporate Cecilia.  

In 1996, Cecilia went to New York City and was offered to join ELITE model agency. While still modeling, Cecilia started working with young photographers doing the sets, styling , hair and make-up. All these experiences made her want to make her own clothes and decided to start attending classes at FIT in NYC and here is where she discovered her true passion: Designing.

During her first year at school, she started her first line of clothes and sold it to Barneys NY and exclusive stores in NYC, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago. She continued designing season after season and getting more clients and at the age of 29 she had the opportunity to create a private label and sold it to companies such as ARDENB, BEBE, GUESS and MARCIANO. Nowadays, CECILIA DE BUCOURT is a brand on her own and sells to over 250 stores worldwide.
